As part of our annual commitment to supporting local charities, this month we will be raising money for 2 Sheffield-based charities.

Our Creative Director, Karl Nuttall, will be taking part in the SWFC Charity Cup on 28th March.

The SWFC Charity Cup takes place at Hillsborough Stadium and raises funds for St Luke’s Hospice and the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme. The annual event sees two Wednesday sides, one in the home kit and the other in the away, battle it out for the trophy.

As an added incentive for Karl, his two brothers will be lining up on the opposite team so bragging rights will be at stake, but this will also be a once in a lifetime opportunity to share the pitch with them having all grown up as avid Sheffield Wednesday fans.

St Luke’s Hospice

St Luke’s Hospice support and care for everyone affected by terminal illness in Sheffield, and look to improve the lives of their patients by providing high quality care, delivered with compassion and respect.

All of the services they provide are without cost to patients and families. They receive just 23% of funding from the NHS and of the £9.7million it takes to deliver services each year, £7.2million must come from donations.

Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme

The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme was established to support the development of cohesive communities around South Yorkshire and seek to increase engagement, training provision and support amongst its residents working across four key themes; Participation, Social Inclusion, Health and Well Being and Education.

The programme sets out to encourage confidence, active lifestyle and participation of sport regardless of gender, ethnicity and disability.

How to donate

We are aiming to smash the £450 target for this event so any contributions no matter how small are greatly appreciated for these two very deserving charities.
