This week we welcome another member to our Senior Leadership Team by appointing our new Creative Director, Karl Nuttall.
Karl is already a familiar face amongst the existing team here at Reach Studios, having being involved in a handful of projects over the last few years through other agencies and previously working with our Technical Director, Thomas King.
Karl may look familiar to a few of you if you support a certain football team from Sheffield that wear blue and white. Karl’s design was chosen for Sheffield Wednesday’s 150th Anniversary third strip, you can read more about that here.
We have always kept a keen eye on Karl’s work (sneakily!) over the last few years and when the opportunity for a senior role to head up our creative branch of the business came up, we approached him to come and take up the role with us, working on the larger UI projects as well as taking over our general design direction.
Karl’s years of experience in the industry will be pivotal in assisting with the general design direction of the business. Utilising his communication and organisational skills will also assist with a more streamlined workflow with our development and project management teams, producing a better and well-documented, well-presented end product.
Karl has worked on a number of projects during his time in the industry for some huge clients which we were excited to run through during the interview process. His keen eye for detail and some times crazy UI principles are sure to have a hugely positive impact on the business. We will definitely be looking to implement some of the software and frameworks that Karl specialises in to work in unison with our current workflow processes. As we look to expand our design team in the future, they are sure to be in good hands and will learn from one of the best!
