Case Study

Freedom To Speak Up

Date
October 2020

We were approached by the National Guardian Office in London to produce and Education & Training Guide for the National Engagement team.

Back

This was a collaborative project, which included key stakeholders from the NGO and NHS. Both parties providing content, context and input through a variety of digital meetings and documentation.

Working with the National Guardian Office guidelines

We had to use the NGO brand guidelines to set this project up initially and to start building the framing and styling so we could get this approved before heading into the main bulk of the work. Within the content, there were about 45 pages of tables, charts, and visual aids. All of which we needed to convert to vectors & SVGS. Furthermore optimising the file size without compromising on quality. Ultimately, so distribution throughout the UK network was easier to achieve.

After several revisions the end product approved by all parties. We felt very lucky to work on this projects as the Freedom to Speak Up is a huge concern and is around us, in the media on a regular basis.

What is speaking up?

Speaking up is about anything that gets in the way of providing good care. When things go wrong, we need to make sure that lessons are learnt and things are improved. If we think something might go wrong, it’s important that we all feel able to speak up. Preventing putting individuals in harms way. Even when things are good, but could be even better, we should feel able to say something. We should expect that our suggestion is listened to and used as an opportunity for improvement.

We look forward to making revisions on this project over the next few years. Keeping it up to date and relevant with the latest digital technology and styles available.
